Biography

Mohit Prodhan is a first-generation Doctor of Social Work and a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Social Work at Texas A&M University–Texarkana. He is an emic researcher whose scholarship values insider perspectives and lived experience. His work focuses on humanity practice, spirituality, eco-social work, disaster management, community development, and technology in social work. He serves on the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) EPAS 2022 Specialized Practice Curricular Guide for Disaster Relief Social Work Taskforce and CSWE’s Council on Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Diversity (CRECD), and he contributes to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Social and Economic Justice & Peace Specialty Practice Section Committee. He is the founding Co-Chair of the NASW Texas Eco-Social Work Committee and a board member of the Texas Evaluation Network (TEN). 

Research Interest

Humanity practice, spirituality, eco-social work, disaster management in social work, community development, and technology in social work.
