Homecoming Bonfire and Senior Torchlight Parade

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to take part in a staple TAMUT tradition-the Senior Torchlight Parade. Each year during Homecoming Week, we ask the seniors to march with torches down a path lit by luminaries with the name of each TAMUT senior. Seniors march together, bearing torches, as the alma mater plays, and, together, as a united Eagle family, you light the Homecoming bonfire. This tradition symbolizes that your education here is meant to be a light to others and that your commitment to our campus and your studies are to illuminate the path of others to follow in your footsteps.

I am honored to invite you to join us on Wednesday, October 4th as the Senior Torchlight Parade and Homecoming bonfire commences. 

The fire is scheduled to begin at 8:00 pm and we ask our seniors to arrive at 7:30 pm if they wish to participate in the torchlight parade. Seniors will meet just in front of the Patterson Student Center building and, when it is time, will march together, two by two from the University Center to where the fire will be set up. As previously mentioned, a luminary, bearing the name of each current senior will light the path you are to take on either side.

We will also announce the Homecoming Court and the winners.
