Suki O’Neal Named Fall 2025 Recipient of A&M-Texarkana Community Leadership Excellence Award
TEXARKANA, Texas –Texas A&M University-Texarkana’s School of Professional Education and Community Engagement (S-PECE) is proud to announce Suki O’Neal as the Fall 2025 recipient of the Community Leadership Excellence Award. This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to strengthening their communities.
A graduate of A&M–Texarkana’s B.S. in Multidisciplinary Studies program, O’Neal currently serves as a Public Relations Specialist at CHRISTUS Health and as CEO of Friends for a Cause Foundation. Her professional work is rooted in service, storytelling, and advocacy, using strategic communication and authentic connection to uplift individuals and communities alike.
Through her leadership, O’Neal has launched grassroots fundraising efforts, amplified voices within healthcare settings, and championed initiatives that reflect compassion, inclusion, and purpose. She is widely recognized for leading with both vision and heart, demonstrating that leadership is defined not by title alone, but by consistent action in service to others.
“Suki represents the kind of leader our community needs,” said Dr. Jennifer Davis, Interim Executive Director of the School of Professional Education and Community Engagement. “She leads with authenticity, passion, and an unwavering commitment to people. As an alumna, she reflects the impact we strive to create through S-PECE and our academic programs.”
The Community Leadership Excellence Award is presented each semester to individuals who exemplify the mission of S-PECE to elevate careers and empower communities through leadership, service, and engagement.
