A&M-Texarkana Social Work Program to Host Mental Health Update 2026
TEXARKANA, Texas – Texas A&M University–Texarkana will host the Mental Health Update 2026 conference on May 1, 2026, bringing together mental health professionals, healthcare providers, educators, and community leaders for a full day of education and collaboration focused on advancing mental health care across the region. The conference will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Eagle Hall, located inside the Anita and Truman Arnold University Center building on the A&M-Texarkana campus. Conference attendees can earn up to 6.5 Continuing Education Units.
This year's theme is “New Tools for Old Struggles: Innovation in Mental Health.” Registration will open at 7:30 a.m., with both breakfast and lunch provided for attendees. “This conference reflects Texas A&M University–Texarkana’s mission to serve our region through education, partnership, and innovation,” said conference organizer Dr. Kristine Yells, Chair of the Human Services Division at Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
