A&M-Texarkana Nursing Student Passes Away Days Before Receiving Bachelor’s Degree

TEXARKANA, Texas – The faculty, staff, and students of A&M-Texarkana were saddened to learn of the passing of Michael Pritchard. A Texarkana native, Michael was a student in the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services at A&M-Texarkana and was set to graduate on May 8, 2026.

“The A&M-Texarkana community was heartbroken to learn of Michael’s passing,” said Texas A&M University-Texarkana President Dr. Ross Alexander. “He was a dedicated healthcare professional who was about to graduate with his bachelor's degree in nursing. His family and friends will remain in our thoughts during this difficult time."
