A&M-Texarkana Announces New Partnership with CDI Contractors

TEXARKANA, Texas – Texas A&M University-Texarkana has announced that a new educational partnership has been formed between the University and CDI Contractors (CDI). The new partnership will allow employees of CDI to receive discounted tuition on coursework at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. The partnership was finalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the parties on June 11, 2026.

“We are excited to announce our new partnership with CDI Contractors,” said Texas A&M University-Texarkana President Dr. Ross Alexander. “For nearly 40 years, CDI has set the industry standards for excellence and efficiency through their construction projects in 45 states. We are proud to assist their employees as they work to attain their education and career goals.”

“CDI is thrilled to partner with Texas A&M University-Texarkana on this great scholarship and tuition opportunity,” said Mike Preston, CEO of CDI Contractors. “We appreciate Dr. Alexander and the entire A&M-Texarkana team for extending this program to CDI employees. This will go a long way in helping to further develop our team and their long-term career goals.”

Under the new academic partnership, all full-time employees of CDI will receive a tuition discount on all undergraduate, graduate, certificate, or micro-credential programs delivered face-to-face, online, or through a hybrid format. The agreement also waives the standard application fee. In addition to the tuition discount, any eligible employee who is a new student at the University will receive the First Flight Scholarship, which gives the new students their first class free if they are enrolled in at least 6 hours at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Employees wishing to take advantage of the new partnership must meet the admissions standards of the program to which they apply and must remain in good academic standing.
