Internship Information
Now that you are employed, please complete the following items.
- Statement of Eligibility (SOE) - Request from the Teacher Certification Coordinator, and give it to your employing district.
- Intern Information Form - Submit this form electronically. Your principal or other school official will choose your mentor and should have their name and contact information.
- Mentor Information Form - Contact your mentor and ask them to submit this form.
- Apply for an internship certificate through your TEAL account. http://tea.texas.gov
- Purchase active Tk20 account at https://tamut.tk20.com.
- Enroll in ED 485 Internship class. Enroll for fall and again in spring. A $250 fee will be added to your student account each semester for a $500 total of your internship.
- Attend 6 hours of PPR test preparation and pass TExES PPR test. We encourage you to complete this as soon as possible, but no later than the end of the fall semester.
- Attend Internship Orientation.
