Freshman SOAR
Our new student orientation program, Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR), for first-time college students aims to officially welcome and support the transition of new Eagles and their families to Texas A&M University-Texarkana. We achieve this by connecting students with peers, academic leadership, student support services, and opportunities for co-curricular engagement.
Our goal is to help connect you with everything you need to know about life as an Eagle. Additionally, you’ll meet with our academic advisors and register for your first semester of classes!
So, you’ve been accepted, now what? Let’s go through your next steps.
Spring Student Orientation Information
- Now that you are admitted, please schedule an appointment with your academic advisor, based on your major, to complete the registration process.
- Once you are registered you will need to complete the online orientation.
- Now that you are registered, we invite you to join us for Eagle RISE. This is your opportunity to meet with an academic advisor to review your degree plan and adjust your schedule for the Spring semester, if needed. Then you will have the opportunity to meet with financial aid and the business office to get an overview of your financial aid status, tuition balance, and set up a payment plan.
