Transfer Student Orientation
Congratulations on your acceptance to Texas A&M University-Texarkana! We know that choosing an institution to continue your educational journey is not easy, and we are honored you chose to be an Eagle.
One of your first steps toward a successful transition to TAMUT is to complete orientation. As a new transfer student, you will complete an online orientation and then have the option to register for our New Student Conference.
Spring Student Orientation Information
- Now that you are admitted, please schedule an appointment with your academic advisor, based on your major, to complete the registration process.
- Once you are registered you will need to complete the online orientation.
- Now that you are registered, we invite you to join us for Eagle RISE. This is your opportunity to meet with an academic advisor to review your degree plan and adjust your schedule for the Spring semester, if needed. Then you will have the opportunity to meet with financial aid and the business office to get an overview of your financial aid status, tuition balance, and set up a payment plan. The following frequently asked questions are pertinent to transfer students completing our online orientation and making the transition to A&M-Texarkana.
Are transfer students required to complete orientation?
Yes! We know you’ve been to college before, but it’s essential to learn the information specific to our University. The information is designed to help make your transition as seamless as possible.
I have an orientation hold on my account. When is this removed?
Orientation holds are not removed automatically upon completion of online orientation. Upon completion, an academic advisor will review your account and remove the hold prior to your advising and registration appointment. This process could take up to 36 hours or longer.
Is New Student Conference required?
No, it is an optional event. However, the event is included in your orientation fee, and we highly encourage your attendance as it can be very helpful for your transition.
Who is my academic advisor?
Academic advisors as assigned by major- you can find your advisor here.
Am I required to purchase a parking pass? Where do I buy one?
If you plan to park a vehicle on campus, yes, you are required to have a parking pass. You can purchase a parking pass at the front counter in the Building for Academic and Student Services. Parking passes are $30.00 (fall through spring), $20 (spring through summer), and $12 (summer only). Please have your license plate number at the time of purchase.
How do I log into Web for Students and AceMail?

How do I get my student ID?
You can fill out the request form here and pick it up in the Office of Student Life located in the University Center.
How do I set up direct deposit for refunds?

What is my CWID?
This is your unique identification number assigned to you at the time of acceptance. This number is how you access Web for Students. If you forgot or lost yours, you could use the retrieval tool on the Web for Students login page.
